Medical Doctor (Specialist) – AI Clinical SME (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible medical specialists to join our AI data services team as remote contractors. In this role you will act as a Subject Matter Expert, reviewing AI‑generated clinical responses, creating gold‑standard medical content, and providing detailed feedback to improve model accuracy and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by crafting detailed prompts and gold‑standard answers across clinical topics within your specialty.
• Evaluate and rank AI‑generated clinical responses, assessing accuracy, clarity, safety, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Identify and document errors in differential diagnosis, risk stratification, red‑flag recognition, test interpretation, and treatment planning.
• Fact‑check medical information and write high‑quality explanations and model solutions that demonstrate correct clinical reasoning.
• Test AI outputs for unsafe recommendations, bias, and reliability across diverse patient populations.

Required profile

• MD/DO (or equivalent) with completed specialty training and board eligibility or certification.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑training clinical experience in a hospital, outpatient, academic, or community setting.
• Strong expertise in advanced clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis, triage, red‑flag identification, and escalation pathways.
• Deep knowledge of disease processes, guideline‑based care, diagnostic pathways, and patient‑safety considerations.
• Exceptional attention to detail when fact‑checking content and identifying unsafe assumptions.
