Principal I – AVS Digital Architect (IT Systems & Solutions)

About the role

We are looking for a talented professional to manage projects, solve technical problems on medical networks, support sales processes, and deliver presentations to both technical and non‑technical leaders. The AVS Digital Architect drives connectivity for Alcon Vision Suite products and legacy medical devices, handling integrations with customers and EHR vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure AVS installations are connected and completed in a timely manner.
• Drive connectivity for all Alcon hardware and software product lines.
• Manage all phases of project plans for hardware and software integrations, including stakeholder management.
• Define data‑flow maps for customer integrations and track installation timelines.
• Respond to monitoring alerts, troubleshoot offline devices, and provide technical support.
• Lead training sessions on networking and medical device interoperability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in the healthcare or medical industry.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for regional meetings, customer visits, and conferences.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills for senior leadership and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• DICOM, HL7 and FHIR integration expertise.
• TCP/IP networking and general IT troubleshooting.
• VMware and server configuration.
• Cisco and CompTIA certifications (any).
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project planning tools.
• Network hardware configuration, firewall management, and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle).
• XML/JSON schema development.
