About the role

The school is looking for a Portuguese teacher to join its bilingual program. The role involves planning lessons, supporting students academically and emotionally, and collaborating with the psychology department.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance and share plans with the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare and organize class materials, maintain the grade book, and enter grades on time.
• Design monthly assessments, grade assignments, and keep the classroom decorated with relevant materials.
• Supervise playground duties and collaborate with the Psychology Department for students with academic, behavioral, or special needs.
• Attend meetings, workshops, parent meetings, and school activities; act as mediator between students and psychologists.
• Organize community service projects, fundraising activities, and student participation in fairs.
• Record daily attendance, manage homework boards, and encourage student involvement in sub‑committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Commitment to safeguarding, diversity, equity, inclusion, and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools.
• Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills.
