Programme Analyst – Resilience & Climate Change

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is seeking a Programme Analyst to support the "Resilient Paraná" project. The role will be based in Curitiba, Brazil, and will work closely with programme, operations and project teams to advance climate change mitigation and urban resilience initiatives across the State of Paraná.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of interventions that promote green infrastructure, water resource protection and climate‑resilient urban planning.
• Support capacity‑building activities, including the development of training materials and the training of multipliers.
• Help standardise monitoring and data‑use systems to track progress against the 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, policy briefs and technical documents for UN‑Habitat and government partners.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with local authorities, civil society and the private sector.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in urban planning, environmental studies, climate change, or a related field.
• Experience working on climate‑change, disaster‑risk reduction or urban‑resilience projects, preferably in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise technical documents.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese proficiency is an advantage.
