Record to Report Specialist II

About the role

The Record to Report Specialist II – Close & Actuals will execute accounting activities for Emerson’s Brazil operations, ensuring timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closes while complying with US GAAP and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post manual journal entries and adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and monthly/quarterly accruals.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes and meet deadlines.
• Partner with Business Units to resolve accounting issues and close open items.
• Assist internal and external audits and ensure SOX compliance.
• Identify and drive process improvement, standardisation, and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of General Ledger, financial reporting or shared‑services experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and advanced Portuguese.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools like Hyperion, HFM or FCCS.
