Regional Industry 4.0 Project Manager – South America

About the role

We are looking for a Regional Industry 4.0 Project Manager to lead the digital transformation of our manufacturing plants across South America. The role combines operational technology expertise with IT integration to deliver SCADA, MES, and other Industry 4.0 solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define requirements and oversee deployment of SCADA, MES, process historians, and related digitalization systems.
• Manage vendors and system integrators through specifications, installation, and validation.
• Maintain the regional digitalization roadmap aligned with corporate goals and local factory needs.
• Enforce OT cybersecurity best practices and corporate IT/OT architecture standards.
• Develop strategies for monitoring, administration, and security of OT infrastructure, including PLCs, SCADA servers, switches, and edge devices.
• Collaborate with data science, AI, computer vision, robotics, and cloud teams on IoT initiatives.
• Lead CAPEX and budget planning for Industry 4.0 projects and present proposals to executive leadership.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Automation Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Solid experience in industrial automation and proven MES implementation track record.
• Hands‑on knowledge of PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems.
• Understanding of IT/OT integration, budget management and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in English; Portuguese and Spanish are strong assets.
• Willingness to travel ~5 days per month to plants in Chile and other locations.
