ROC Operator – Port Operations (Brazil)

About the role

The ROC Operator reports to the ROC Manager and coordinates vessel inward and outward clearances, providing husbandry assistance to masters and principals to ensure fast, efficient, and smooth port turnarounds in Rio de Janeiro.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a positive customer experience while complying with regulatory and principal requirements.
• Maintain relationships with principals, government agencies, and service providers to ensure appropriate service range and quality.
• Prepare daily operational reports for each vessel and distribute them to all stakeholders.
• Process inward and outward clearances, ensuring documentation complies with immigration, customs, and port authority regulations.
• Coordinate crew changes, medical cases, and shore passes in close cooperation with the main office.
• Update ONEDA/Optic and other systems accurately and manage pre‑funding requests for vessel calls.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
• Willingness to work as a team player with flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
• Excellent spoken and written communication in English.
• Commercial acumen and customer‑focused mindset.
