Search Operations Model Data Team Leader – São Paulo

About the role

The Search Operations Model Data Team Leader will head the local Search Operations team in São Paulo, driving improvements in search experience, daily active users, traffic, and gross merchandise value for TikTok. The role involves close collaboration with product, research, and engineering teams to shape search strategy and ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, and develop a multicultural search operations team, setting clear goals and maintaining high standards.
• Ensure all services align with TikTok’s core values, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee policy localization, BPO quality management, quality assurance, root‑cause analysis, data analysis, reporting, and policy recommendations.
• Continuously evaluate performance, optimise workflows, SOPs, and quality processes to meet productivity and efficiency targets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (product, R&D) to refine search strategies and enhance user experience.
• Launch new projects and deliver high‑quality training to BPO sites.
• Promote inclusion and create an open, communicative team environment.
• Handle exposure to sensitive content, including child safety and adult material, as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in a team‑lead, content‑manager, or technical‑lead role.
• Strong people‑management skills with experience leading large, multicultural teams.
• General knowledge of search engineering, search engines, and related strategies.
• Excellent attention to detail, independent work style, and solid judgment.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional partners across multiple countries.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese (English primary work language).
