Senior Accountant – Contract

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead complex general accounting, financial analysis, and reporting activities for our Brazil finance organization. This contract position ensures the integrity of income statements and balance sheets while supporting process improvements and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support remediation of accounting processes, perform ad‑hoc analysis, and lead special projects for the CAO.
• Prepare journal entries, conduct month‑end close, and ensure compliance with US GAAP for Brazil operations.
• Document finance processes, recommend efficiency improvements, and identify automation opportunities.
• Produce internal and external KPI reports for Americas business units and regulatory agencies.
• Create KPI dashboards, month‑end financial packages, and other management reporting tools.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work independently and drive process improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience extracting data from databases through queries.
• Proficiency with accounting software and operating systems.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
