Senior Accountant

About the role

Playlist is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the month‑end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will collaborate with finance and cross‑functional teams to improve efficiency, maintain strong internal controls, and support audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own key areas of the month‑end close, delivering timely and accurate results.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses across balance‑sheet and income‑statement accounts.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities to streamline the close cycle.
• Leverage data tools and automation to reduce manual work and enhance reporting visibility.
• Support the preparation of internal and external financial statements and audit schedules.
• Partner with FP&A and other teams to analyze variances and explain financial results.
• Maintain documentation for key accounting areas and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement fundamentals.
• Proven ownership of month‑end close processes with a track record of improving efficiency.
• Detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Experience with ERP systems
• Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools
• SQL or comparable data‑query language
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
