Senior Director, Tax Brazil

About the role

The Senior Director, Tax Brazil will lead all tax matters for The Coca-Cola Company in Brazil, covering corporate income tax, indirect tax, controversy, and legislative issues. The role works closely with finance, operations, legal and corporate tax teams across LATAM and Atlanta to ensure compliance and optimise tax efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day tax compliance, audit responses and administrative or judicial appeals in Brazil.
• Monitor, analyse and communicate the impact of new tax legislation and regulations, influencing policy where appropriate.
• Design and evaluate strategic tax planning and structuring ideas, assessing cash tax and effective tax rate implications.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to implement tax planning initiatives and ensure accurate reporting.
• Provide tax advice on M&A transactions, post‑acquisition integration and the creation of legal entities.
• Prepare documentation of technical tax positions and outcomes for senior executives.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of Brazil tax law applied in a multinational environment.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a local tax team.
• Strong written communication and advocacy skills for senior‑level stakeholders.
• Quantitative modelling capability to assess tax impacts.
• Executive presence and ability to work collaboratively with finance, legal and government relations.
