Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Algorithm & Signal Processing

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer specialized in algorithm development and signal processing to design, develop, and optimize embedded solutions for critical, regulated medical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize embedded firmware in C/C++ for resource‑constrained microcontrollers (ARM Cortex‑M).
• Develop and integrate advanced DSP algorithms such as FIR/IIR filters, FFT‑based processing, and noise reduction.
• Translate mathematical models into efficient, deterministic code with low latency and minimal resource usage.
• Debug, profile, and optimize code on target hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, and clinical specialists to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, unit/integration testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and FDA guidelines, contributing to risk management and V&V activities.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development using C/C++ and RTOS.
• Strong knowledge of ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers and digital signal processing techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Experience working in regulated environments (IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA) and using MATLAB/Python for algorithm prototyping.
