Senior Finance Analyst – Clinical Solutions Portfolio

About the role

The Senior Finance Analyst for the Clinical Solutions Portfolio will act as a strategic finance partner, overseeing portfolio‑level financial health across Clinical Solutions departments. The role focuses on project and portfolio forecasting, budget performance, and financial controls, while also developing trial operations KPIs linked to financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver portfolio‑level financial analysis, including budget health, forecast accuracy, margin performance, and risk identification.
• Lead financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and internal controls.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. forecast vs. budget) to pinpoint drivers of change, scope creep, and emerging risks.
• Partner with project finance teams to maintain data consistency and integrity for portfolio reporting.
• Monitor budget consumption, earned value indicators, and change‑order impacts across portfolios.
• Develop and maintain trial operations KPIs that connect operational performance to financial results.
• Create scalable dashboards and analyses using Excel and Power BI for governance and executive review.
• Prepare and deliver executive‑ready presentations summarising performance, risks, and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in finance, accounting, business or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in project finance within a CRO environment.
• Proven ability to engage with senior operational leaders and department heads.
