Senior Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join Wise’s LATAM finance team in São Paulo. In this individual‑contributor role you will be the bridge between regional strategy and day‑to‑day financial execution, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance across our Brazilian entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end close and quarterly financial reporting for all LATAM entities, guaranteeing 100 % accuracy and adherence to local standards.
• Support the LATAM Regional Finance Lead by providing data‑driven insights that guide business decisions.
• Oversee the implementation of controls and processes required by the Central Bank of Brazil, keeping the organization audit‑ready.
• Foster a culture of detail‑orientation and continuous improvement within the finance team.
• Coordinate with external partners such as outsourced firms, tax advisors, and auditors to ensure seamless delivery of financial services.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting and an active CRC certification.
• Extensive experience in financial controlling, audit or management accounting, preferably within Banking, FinTech or Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of Brazil GAAP and IFRS and ability to apply them to complex fintech transactions.
• Proven track record of improving internal controls and streamlining financial processes in fast‑paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English, with confidence presenting to senior leadership and regulators.
