Senior Indirect Buyer (Purchasing Analyst)

About the role

The Senior Indirect Buyer (Purchasing Analyst) leads end‑to‑end sourcing and procurement for indirect materials and services. Working on a hybrid schedule (three days onsite), you will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop strategies, negotiate contracts and drive cost‑saving initiatives that support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories such as facilities, corporate services and engineering services.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, define scopes, select suppliers, analyse proposals and make sourcing recommendations.
• Negotiate contracts, amendments, pricing, service levels, performance metrics and commercial terms.
• Conduct cost analysis, total cost of ownership assessments, savings calculations and business case development.
• Manage supplier performance, risk mitigation plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor contract lifecycle activities, including renewals and renegotiations, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and corporate governance.
• Support audits, maintain sourcing documentation and contribute to procurement transformation or supplier consolidation projects.
• Mentor less‑experienced buyers on best practices and complex negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, International Business or related field.
• Solid experience in indirect procurement/sourcing, preferably in multinational, matrixed environments.
• Proven track record managing complex sourcing projects, supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency and strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and e‑sourcing platforms (Ariba or similar).
