Senior IT Product Owner – Databricks Data Platform

About the role

Bosch Group is looking for a Senior IT Product Owner to lead the global Databricks Data Platform. You will be responsible for shaping a secure, reliable, and high‑quality data foundation that enables data engineering, self‑service analytics, and AI initiatives across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the Databricks platform, aligning with Bosch’s overall data strategy.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, translating complex requirements from data scientists, analysts, and business units into actionable user stories and technical epics.
• Coordinate with integration architects to ensure robust, performant data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines from diverse source systems.
• Establish and enforce governance standards, including access management, data security policies, and data lineage.
• Set operational and usage KPIs to monitor platform performance, stability, compliance, and cost‑efficiency (FinOps).
• Drive platform adoption by designing self‑service templates and fostering a collaborative community of data engineers and scientists.

Required profile

• Proven track record as an IT Product Owner, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead for modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, able to bridge business demands and technical feasibility.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Databricks Lakehouse architecture (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows).
• Cloud‑native data infrastructures, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Modern ETL/ELT concepts.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading high‑performing engineering teams.
