Senior Lawyer – LATAM Innovative Medicine

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Lawyer to support its Innovative Medicine business across Latin America. The role will be based in either São Paulo, Brazil or Bogotá, Colombia and will serve as a key legal partner for regional business units, providing comprehensive counsel on a variety of legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units on regulatory and intellectual‑property strategies, coordinating with global IP and litigation teams.
• Provide legal guidance to Centers of Excellence on vendor contracts, antitrust issues, and the use of artificial intelligence, ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Support IBVTs with contracts involving healthcare professionals and vendors, and develop access strategies for pipeline products.
• Collaborate with the Patient Solutions group to align projects and policies with applicable regulations.
• Design and deliver training for regional teams on contracting, competition law, anti‑corruption, and ethics compliance.

Required profile

• Law degree with a strong generalist background covering antitrust, IP, contracts, and regulatory matters.
• Significant experience providing legal counsel to commercial or healthcare businesses in LATAM.
• Proven ability to work across cross‑functional teams and manage relationships with global legal groups.
• Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
