Senior Product Development Analyst – Electrical Engineering

About the role

In this position you will join Philips’ global R&D team developing advanced CO₂ sensing technologies for capnography medical devices. You will design and develop electronic hardware, ensure compliance with design‑control processes and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the United States, Germany and China.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware, including PCBAs, cables and wiring assemblies in line with Philips’ design‑control processes.
• Evaluate and select electronic components, balancing quality, cost and schedule constraints.
• Define and execute system‑level and unit‑level verification testing to validate performance and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues, drive continuous improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain traceable technical documentation according to Philips quality management requirements.
• Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing and quality teams on product development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 + years experience in electronic hardware development, including circuit design, debugging and optimization.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills with ability to work in a global, cross‑cultural environment.

Required skills

• Complex PCBA design – multilayer boards, BGA components.
• High‑speed and high‑frequency signal design.
• EMI/EMC design and troubleshooting.
• Experience with optical components and interconnects for sensing systems.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, waveform generators, digital multimeters).
• Use of design and simulation tools such as OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, PSPICE.
