Senior Safety Engineer – Fire & EHS Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to lead our fire safety team and oversee the Enterprise Risk Prevention (ERP) plan at our São Paulo manufacturing site. The role ensures that fire protection systems and all environmental, health and safety (EHS) practices meet Colgate standards and Brazilian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with the Loss Prevention program and Brazilian fire safety regulations.
• Lead the Process Safety Management (PSM) program together with the operational coordinator.
• Ensure adherence to Brazilian regulatory standards (NR‑01, NR‑05, NR‑10, NR‑12, NR‑13, NR‑33, NR‑35) and e‑social safety reporting.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to identify and mitigate critical risks, tracking action plans to closure.
• Support audit follow‑up, corrective actions and the implementation of Foundational Safety Expectations.
• Prepare EHS data analytics, dashboards and regular reporting for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Safety Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian fire‑system legislation, NFPA or UL standards, and the NR series.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
• Excellent written and presentation skills in English.
