Senior Software Engineer – API Development (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and maintain high‑performance RESTful APIs that power our cyber‑risk management platform. The role is fully remote and focuses on delivering scalable, reliable services using TypeScript.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs with TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Write clean, well‑structured code and automated tests following best practices.
• Create and maintain database tables in SQL and NoSQL (DynamoDB) environments.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Test, debug and optimise API performance and reliability.
• Document endpoints, parameters and responses using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Stay current with emerging API technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly DynamoDB.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for building high‑quality software.
