SEO Associate

About the role

Darkroom, a fast‑growing performance marketing agency, is building an organic presence to match its rapid expansion. We are looking for an SEO Associate to own the day‑to‑day execution of our search strategy, covering both traditional SEO and emerging AI‑driven search experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Execute on‑page SEO tasks: metadata, internal linking, structured data, and content updates for Darkroom’s website, The Observatory blog, and related landing pages.
• Conduct keyword research, map search intent, and build topic clusters, pillar pages, and refresh cycles to grow authority.
• Run regular technical audits, fixing crawlability, site‑speed, broken‑link, and schema‑markup issues.
• Manage Darkroom’s llms.txt and AEO strategy to appear in AI answer engines such as Perplexity and ChatGPT.
• Create detailed content briefs that capture search intent, entity coverage, SERP gaps, and competitor angles before writers begin.
• Lead the co‑marketing backlink program, coordinating partner content calendars and ensuring reciprocal commitments are delivered.
• Monitor share‑of‑voice, SERP movements, and competitor content velocity to inform ongoing optimization.
