Software Engineer II – Web Internal Tools

About the role

Cadence is looking for a motivated Software Engineer II to join the Development Tools and Methodology (DTM) team in Belo Horizonte. You will help build and maintain Cadence’s internal software ecosystem, focusing on tools that boost developer productivity and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal web tools using PHP, Python and MySQL.
• Provide reliable automation and infrastructure that streamlines daily development workflows for engineering teams.
• Follow best coding practices, perform debugging, and ensure high‑quality code.
• Maintain software and hardware architecture/interfaces, including Linux‑based environments and container platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Proficiency in English and Portuguese, both written and spoken.
• Effective team player with good communication skills.

Required skills

• PHP, Python, MySQL
• Web development: HTML, React, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS
• Version control systems: Git, Mercurial, Perforce (P4)
• Linux environment, LSF/OpenLava workload managers
• Container technologies: Docker
• Testing and quality‑assurance practices
