Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

About the role

Futurex is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join its São Paulo office. The role focuses on testing production software that runs on Futurex’s enterprise‑grade data‑encryption hardware, offering high visibility within the team and fast‑track advancement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot software and firmware for Futurex’s cryptographic devices, reporting findings clearly.
• Develop new test cases to validate features, verify issue resolution, perform stress tests, and identify security weak points.
• Collaborate with team members to understand and update product requirements.
• Write and maintain testing documentation, including API functionality and software issue tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality of all processed, stored, or accessed information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology‑related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
• Comfortable working with Linux and Bash (SysV and systemd).
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Linux operating system.
• Bash scripting (SysV and systemd).
• TCP/IP networking concepts.
• Python (version 3 preferred).
• Version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
• Familiarity with automated and manual software testing tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) or other cryptographic concepts.
