Staff Platform Engineer – Observability (Remote Brazil)

About the role

Wellhub is looking for a Staff Platform Engineer focused on Observability to join its fast‑growing Platform team. This remote position (Brazil) will turn the company’s observability stack into a strategic, self‑service platform that empowers engineering teams to own their services with confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end ownership of the observability ecosystem, ensuring resilience, scalability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Design and evolve a cloud‑native infrastructure on Kubernetes, integrating tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo and Pyroscope.
• Build “Golden Paths” that let developers instrument code instantly and obtain high‑fidelity signals.
• Handle high‑cardinality metrics, log‑retention strategies and distributed tracing challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to bridge infrastructure complexity and developer experience.
• Develop and maintain automation using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Crossplane and HashiCorp Vault.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating large‑scale observability platforms.
• Strong background in cloud‑native architectures and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment.
