Steward – Hotel Kitchen & Dishwashing

About the role

We are looking for a Steward to join the back‑of‑house team at Hilton Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro. The successful candidate will ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean, safe and ready for guests, supporting a high‑quality hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate pot‑washing and dishware machinery in line with hygiene regulations and company standards.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing up, and emptying rubbish bins.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and back‑of‑house areas according to the established cleaning schedule.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow health, safety and hygiene guidelines when handling hazardous substances.
• Report any maintenance or safety hazards to the supervisor on duty.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by hotel management.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience as a kitchen porter or similar role is advantageous.
