Tax Planning Specialist – Brazilian Tax Reform

About the role

Join Amazon's Tax Planning team to help shape the company's response to Brazil's historic tax reform. You will work on strategic initiatives that maximize tax efficiency and support business growth across the reform transition period.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to reduce the organization’s tax liabilities.
• Analyze operations, transactions, and financial data to uncover tax‑saving opportunities.
• Monitor changes in Brazilian tax laws, regulations, and incentives, focusing on the ongoing reform.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, business, and technology teams to align tax planning with broader objectives.
• Prepare analyses, recommendations, and documentation for senior leadership review.
• Assist in executing approved tax strategies, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Proven ability to work across cross‑functional teams and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfort with ambiguity and translating complex regulatory changes into actionable guidance.
• Advanced to fluent English proficiency.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations and accounting concepts.
• Experience liaising with tax authorities, including audit responses.
