Tax Specialist – Tax Operations

About the role

The Tax Operations team within Baker Hughes’ Tax organization is looking for a Tax Specialist to support corporate income tax (CIT) compliance across global entities. You will work closely with controllership, product companies and regional tax teams to ensure accurate tax filings, provisions and audits.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, prepare and analyse financial data and legal documents for local tax filings and audits.
• Prepare and review US and local GAAP tax provisions, ASC 740 calculations, ETR analysis and FIN 48 reserves.
• Execute monthly and quarterly tax reconciliations, balance‑sheet reviews and tax payments.
• Support transfer‑pricing calculations and schedule preparation.
• Maintain tax tools (OTP) and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Provide audit support and escalate complex issues to Tax Managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law or Business Administration.
• 3‑5 years of CIT experience in a large multinational, Big 4 or Shared Service Center.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Word proficiency.
• Experience with Oracle and SAP financial systems.
• Familiarity with HFM, OneSource and OTP tax tools.
• Knowledge of ASC 740, ETR and FIN 48 concepts.
