Tax Strategy Specialist

About the role

EBANX, a global payments company, is hiring a Tax Strategy Specialist in São Paulo. The specialist coordinates tax audits and controversies across multiple jurisdictions and supports the business in assessing the tax implications of new commercial opportunities, markets and operating models.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate tax audits under their responsibility, acting as the main contact between internal teams, local stakeholders and external advisors
• Collect, organize and analyze information and documentation requested by tax authorities, keeping track of deadlines, deliverables and risks
• Support technical assessments and response strategies, and contribute to improving audit and controversy governance
• Assess tax obligations, risks and pricing impacts for new business opportunities and markets
• Support the tax onboarding of new merchants and keep pricing tax assumptions up to date
• Analyze tax matters for new projects and provide technical support to merchants and internal stakeholders

Required profile

• Strong tax experience, preferably in payments, fintechs, technology companies or organizations with international operations
• Experience with tax audits and controversies, including document collection, response preparation and coordination with external advisors
• Ability to manage several workstreams with autonomy in a fast-paced environment
• Business-oriented mindset and strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced English proficiency
