Vice President, Finance Product Controller (TCIO)

About the role

The Vice President of Finance Product Control for the Treasury & Chief Investment Office (TCIO) in Brazil is responsible for end‑to‑end product control, owning daily P&L and risk reporting, balance‑sheet governance and month‑end close. Acting as a finance partner to the front office, the role provides independent challenge, insight on performance drivers and ensures disciplined control across complex systems.

Key responsibilities

• Produce daily P&L and risk reports for Brazil, perform reconciliations, variance analysis and communicate explanations to the Front Office and Market Risk teams.
• Govern month‑end adjustments, identify emerging issues early and maintain front‑to‑back control throughout the close process.
• Partner with Front Office, Business Management and FTP on new products, system changes and ad‑hoc requests, ensuring finance sign‑off and sustainable operating models.
• Provide country and regional inputs for US and local regulatory reporting, including required breakdowns and variance explanations.
• Support liquidity management policies, maintain up‑to‑date documentation and coordinate information requests across Finance, Market Risk, Global FTP and Business Management.
• Drive operational excellence by automating high‑friction processes, deploying intelligent solutions and AI‑enabled controls to improve accuracy, timeliness and scalability.
• Explain funding outcomes with Front Office, FTP and LOB Controllers, ensuring robust controls and prompt escalation of unexplained movements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product control, finance, middle office or market risk within a financial institution, with progressive responsibility.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong judgment in assessing P&L drivers, challenging front‑office narratives and communicating findings credibly.
• Deep understanding of operating system landscapes and ability to diagnose breaks across upstream/downstream processes.

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial products used for cash deployment and interest‑rate risk management, such as reverse repos.
