About the role

Darkroom is seeking a self‑driven Video Editor to create marketing collateral, including video and organic content. This fully remote position supports an EST‑based team and is open to candidates in Brazil, Portugal, or Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Edit UGC‑style videos for various social platforms, crafting thumb‑stopping edits with layered audio and on‑screen text.
• Brainstorm inventive hooks and formats that drive engagement and stay current with platform trends.
• Prepare projects for edit staff, ingest and log footage, and maintain media storage across hard drives, servers, and cloud services.
• Produce multiple aspect‑ratio versions, add closed captions, voice‑overs, and ensure accessibility.
• Collaborate with performance marketing to review ad analytics and optimize creative output.

Required profile

• Experience creating platform‑native content such as Instagram Reels, Meta ads, and TikTok viral videos.
• Strong time‑management, organization, and ability to handle multiple brand deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

• Broadcast finishing workflows (mix, color, VFX, conform, online)
• Strong knowledge of codecs and transcoding practices
• Mac OSX and networked server environments
• Frame.io and Vimeo for asset management
