Admissions Counselor – Recruit Future Terriers

About the role

The Admissions Counselor will lead recruitment efforts to attract new undergraduate students to Thomas College. This student‑facing position involves extensive travel across New England and beyond, representing the college at high schools, fairs, and community events.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to high schools, college fairs, and recruitment events throughout the recruitment seasons (Sept‑Nov, Mar‑May).
• Deliver engaging presentations about Thomas College to prospective students and their families.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, and high school counselors.
• Process application materials and assist in reviewing applications for admission decisions.
• Collaborate with Student Financial Services, Marketing, Athletics, and other campus departments.
• Provide flexible availability for evening and weekend events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, positive, and student‑centered mindset.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to five hours.
• Willingness to travel extensively during recruitment periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Slate CRM (preferred).
