Assistente de Classe – Primary Education

About the role

The Assistente de Classe supports the delivery of high‑quality primary education, ensuring a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment. The role aligns curriculum implementation with the school’s mission, vision and values while fostering academic, social and emotional development of students.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and oversee the primary academic programme, promoting innovative, student‑centred teaching practices.
• Coordinate, mentor and evaluate the primary teaching team, leading pedagogical meetings and supporting professional development.
• Monitor students’ academic, social and emotional progress, implementing support strategies and managing behaviour and wellbeing.
• Maintain effective communication with families, participating in parent meetings, conferences and school events.
• Prepare academic and performance reports, coordinate timetables, assessments and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or licence as required by local regulations.
• Minimum years of teaching experience in primary education (exact number not specified).
