Associate Legal Counsel

About the role
The Associate Legal Counsel will support the Legal Commercial team by providing proactive legal advice and contract management for commercial activities. Acting as a trusted business partner, the role ensures legal compliance and risk mitigation across transactions and projects.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate and finalize contracts in line with national and international regulations.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on various legal topics.
- Assist SES affiliates and subsidiaries with legal matters as requested.
- Provide timely legal guidance to commercial groups for bids, PPP initiatives and other projects.
- Communicate legal advice clearly to internal stakeholders at all levels.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or LLM in law; bar qualification is a plus.
- 1‑3 years of post‑qualification experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Experience in the telecommunications or media sector is advantageous.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and willing to travel domestically and internationally.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
