Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Saab is seeking a Buyer to join its Procurement team. In this role you will manage medium‑complexity procurement processes, build strong supplier partnerships and support strategic sourcing initiatives that enable operational excellence across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes for materials and services of medium complexity.
• Lead RFQs/RFPs for indirect materials and service contracts.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and delivery schedules.
• Oversee purchase orders, supplier performance and contract renewals.
• Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to guide sourcing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Finance and Facilities teams.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and qualify new suppliers.
• Manage procurement for Facilities services such as building maintenance, HVAC, cleaning, landscaping and security (preferred).

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and supply‑chain functions.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities.
• Experience in contract management and strategic sourcing.
• Knowledge of TCO analysis and procurement KPIs.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TOTVS, IFS).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Understanding of logistics and supply‑chain processes.
• Advanced English proficiency; facilities procurement experience is a plus.
