Chief Accountant

About the role

Evolution is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead its Brazil accounting function. The role ensures full compliance with Brazilian accounting standards, tax rules, labor legislation and the company’s global financial policies while supporting rapid international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping in line with Brazilian GAAP (CPC) and IFRS.
• Prepare, review and publish monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, meeting all deadlines.
• Perform account reconciliations and safeguard the integrity of the general ledger.
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax calculations and filings with external providers.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Strengthen internal controls, identify process improvements and develop accounting policies.
• Supervise AP, AR, Fixed Assets and payroll accounting activities.
• Partner with Finance, HR, Operations, Procurement and Global Finance teams.

Required profile

• Hands‑on leader with strong technical accounting expertise.
• Excellent analytical abilities and experience building efficient accounting processes.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Required skills

• Brazilian GAAP (CPC) knowledge.
• IFRS reporting experience.
