Clinical Research Physician – GPS Medical

About the role

The Clinical Research Physician (CRP) in GPS Medical at Lilly is responsible for the safety program of one or more therapeutic assets throughout their lifecycle. The role serves as the primary medical liaison for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring rigorous pharmacovigilance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead proactive pharmacovigilance activities, including medical review of individual case safety reports and causality assessment.
• Provide medical oversight of safety surveillance, signal detection, and risk management actions.
• Communicate safety findings and escalations to GPS leadership, governance committees, development teams, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor safety data for impact on core safety information and risk minimisation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality medical evaluation of safety data and efficient drug development.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification or equivalent experience in clinical research or pharmacovigilance.
• Demonstrated experience in safety oversight for pharmaceutical products across development phases.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting safety data to regulatory and governance bodies.
