Cloud FinOps Senior Analyst

About the role

The FinOps Sr. Analyst supports financial operations and analysis, keeping financial data accurate and helping with financial reporting. The role manages, optimizes and forecasts cloud spend across multi-cloud providers, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and help maintain accurate financial records
• Monitor and analyze cloud expenditures across multi-cloud environments and develop dashboards and reports on cloud costs
• Assist in budget planning and forecasting, and provide cost analysis and financial modeling to support decisions
• Recommend cost optimization actions such as right-sizing, reserved instances and autoscaling, and track their effectiveness
• Develop and enforce cloud cost management policies and governance frameworks
• Use FinOps tools to automate and streamline cost management, and identify process improvements with cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in financial analysis or operations
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards and financial analysis techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills with non-financial stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Required skills

• Experience with major cloud service providers, especially Azure and GCP cost management tools
• Proficiency in cloud cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer)
• Scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) as a plus; financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting as a plus
