About the role

UN‑Habitat, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, is implementing the “Vida Nova no Morro – Supporting Sustainable Urban Development in Informal Settlements in Niterói” project. The initiative aims to strengthen municipal data systems, develop social‑housing policies, and promote inclusive, evidence‑based urban planning in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda. Based in Niterói, Brazil, the Communications Analyst will support communication activities for this project, ensuring that project messages reach stakeholders and the wider public.

Key responsibilities

Perform the duties set out in the Terms of Reference, delivering work on time and to quality standards.
Collaborate closely with UN‑Habitat’s operational and technical teams to coordinate communication outputs for the project.

Required profile

Reports to the Head of the Brazil Office, who will evaluate performance.
