Communications Director, Latin America

About the role

The Communications Director for Latin America will lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies across the region, with a particular emphasis on Brazil and Argentina. This senior leader will shape the narrative for the Seed Business, aligning media, policy, and internal communications to support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain excellent media relationships across the region, especially in Brazil and Argentina.
• Provide proactive and strategic communications counsel to regional and corporate leaders.
• Inspire and engage employees with the Seed Business story, values, and goals.
• Create and execute integrated communications strategies supporting key policy and business initiatives such as gene editing.
• Defend the company’s reputation with priority stakeholders and the public.
• Differentiate the Seed Business as a trusted, preferred food and agriculture company.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing communications team.
• Advance strategic public policy and advocacy objectives.
• Run integrated campaigns and manage crises and issues to protect reputation.
• Develop communications plans targeting priority stakeholders on key issues.
• Raise brand awareness and reputation in key markets, including Brazil and Argentina.
• Create and execute social‑media plans for all local channels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
• Previous experience in the agriculture sector preferred but not required.
• Strategic thinking with excellent execution capabilities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Creative, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo.
• Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities.
• Bias for action and ability to meet time‑sensitive objectives.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
