About the role
The Global Procurement team at BASF is looking for a strategic buyer to manage raw material categories, negotiate with suppliers and support sustainable growth of the business in Brazil.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement purchasing strategies for key raw‑material categories.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers, monitor market trends and develop long‑term partnerships.
- Collaborate with business units, planning, operations and logistics to align procurement actions with corporate objectives.
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers and ensure KPIs such as cost, supply security and value creation are met.
Required profile
- University degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in raw‑material procurement.
- Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
Required skills
- Strong negotiation and strategic sourcing capabilities.
- Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable plans.
