Construction Contract Manager – Data Center

About the role

Soben is looking for an experienced Construction Contract Manager to lead procurement and contract administration for large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre projects in Campinas, Brazil. The role ensures effective contract execution, supplier performance, commercial compliance and timely delivery of critical construction equipment and services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage project procurement plans.
• Prepare and review scope of work documents and procurement packages.
• Coordinate procurement for Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment and materials.
• Define negotiation strategies and lead supplier negotiations.
• Manage RFx processes, including bid evaluations, supplier communications and pre‑bid meetings.
• Administer contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals and related documentation.
• Implement and improve procurement and contract management processes and controls.
• Monitor supplier performance, expediting activities and delivery schedules.
• Prepare accurate procurement, contract and commercial reports for stakeholders.
• Conduct pricing analysis, cost evaluations, benchmarking and commercial assessments.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and overall project delivery performance.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in construction contract management or procurement, preferably on data centre or mission‑critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract terms, conditions, procurement processes and commercial management.
• Proven experience managing RFIs, RFQs, RFPs/RFx, bid evaluations, negotiations, change orders, submittals and supplier contracts.
• Experience purchasing and expediting major equipment packages such as generators.
