About the role
UN‑Habitat is seeking a Data Assistant to support the “Vida Nova no Morro” project in Niterói, Brazil. UN‑Habitat’s mandate is to promote sustainable development of human settlements and adequate housing for all. The Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Rio de Janeiro, works with governments and partners to implement the Habitat Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. The initiative aims to improve housing and urban conditions in favelas through mapping, community mobilization and participatory methodologies, reducing socio‑spatial inequalities and strengthening local capacities. The Data Assistant will work closely with UN‑Habitat operational and technical teams to ensure timely delivery of data‑related tasks.
