Desk Side Support Engineer (6 Hours Per Day)

About the role

NSC Global, an IT services and solutions provider, is strengthening its onsite support teams and is looking for IT End User Support Technicians. This is an onsite role of about four hours per day, ideal for candidates with experience in end-user computing. You will be the first point of contact for onsite technical issues, helping users resolve hardware and software problems so that day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and present to one or more customer staff members.
• Monitor and control daily service call activity, utilization, inventory levels and service levels.
• Resolve technical problems with hardware, software and connectivity, while maintaining agreed service levels.
• Participate in the configuration and support of internal systems.
• Work effectively with logistics and adhere to the assigned schedule.
• Follow documented policies, procedures and processes specific to the service.
• Document all customer interactions clearly and concisely in the appropriate CRM tool.
• Support the installation and implementation of connectivity and high-end systems products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery and keep up with industry enhancements.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of computer hardware, common software applications and Microsoft operating systems.
• Proficiency in printer hardware, ticketing software, Microsoft Office and Office 365, PC/laptop hardware and peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Awareness of Active Directory, Exchange, Apple OS, and network and server hardware.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, OEM maintenance certifications, MCITP or MOS are included but not mandatory.
• English (written and spoken) and the local language.
