About the role

The Director, Privacy & Data Protection, Americas leads privacy strategy for Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech sector across the region. Reporting to the Global Privacy & Data Protection Leader, this senior role ensures compliance with diverse privacy laws while enabling responsible data innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, governance and operational excellence for all privacy and data protection activities in the Americas.
• Ensure compliance with regional privacy regulations and drive adoption of global privacy policies and rulebooks.
• Enable responsible data use across Commercial, Clinical, R&D, Digital Surgery/Robotics and connected‑device environments.
• Lead a distributed network of named Privacy Stewards to execute market‑level privacy requirements.
• Collaborate with regional MedTech leadership to embed privacy considerations into business processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in privacy, data protection and compliance, preferably within healthcare or MedTech.
• Deep knowledge of Americas privacy laws and regulations.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
