Director, Strategic Pricing

About the role

The Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) team focuses on payments made and received by small and medium enterprises and large corporations, along with money‑movement transactions (e.g., P2P) via our Mastercard Move capabilities. This role sits within the CNPF Global Pricing team and is responsible for shaping and driving strategic initiatives related to the pricing and economics of Mastercard’s Commercial and New Payment Flows business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects focused on the pricing, economics, and long‑term growth of CNPF products and services.
• Analyze market dynamics, competitive positioning, customer behaviors, and industry trends to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
• Structure and solve complex business problems using quantitative analysis, financial reasoning, and data‑driven insights.
• Develop recommendations that influence product, commercial, and pricing strategies across the business.
• Build executive‑level presentations, business cases, and strategic narratives to support decision making by senior leadership.

Required profile

• Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, pricing strategy, economics, business transformation, or other highly analytical problem‑solving environments.
• Strong strategic thinking and structured problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business challenges into actionable solutions.
• Outstanding analytical capabilities and comfort working with quantitative data, financial models, and business performance metrics.
• Ability to balance rigorous analysis with practical execution and stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions, teams, and seniority levels without direct authority.
