Employment Counsel, LATAM

About the role

Join TikTok’s Global Legal team as an Employment Counsel focused on Latin America. You will provide proactive, practical legal guidance to support the company’s fast‑growing operations across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Advise TikTok’s LATAM workforce on all aspects of employment law, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, leaves, accommodations, compensation, restructuring and terminations.
• Draft, review and update employment contracts, offer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employee handbooks and policy documents to meet local labor requirements.
• Guide and oversee workplace investigations in the LATAM region, ensuring compliant processes and outcomes.
• Collaborate with global legal colleagues to align LATAM employment advice with worldwide policies and strategies.
• Manage employment litigation and pre‑litigation disputes, providing strategic counsel as needed.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.B. or JD) with active bar admission in Brazil and good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in private practice or corporate legal departments handling employment law counseling and/or litigation.
• Deep expertise in LATAM labor regulations, especially Brazil; experience in Mexico, Argentina or Colombia is a plus.
• Strong research ability, sound judgment, high integrity and capacity to handle confidential information.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese or Spanish.
