Facilities Engineer – Deepwater Projects

About the role

The Facilities Engineer joins Shell Brazil’s Project & Engineering team, supporting the safe, reliable and competitive delivery of both non‑operated (NOV) and operated (SOV) offshore assets. The role works across the full project lifecycle, from concept selection through to start‑up, and collaborates closely with operations, joint‑venture partners and the global engineering community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide topside technical input during concept selection, FEED, detailed design, integration, commissioning and start‑up.
• Develop practical solutions that improve project competitiveness and operability.
• Review and influence engineering designs for new FPSOs and brownfield projects to meet assurance and business requirements.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation actions and support delivery of project milestones.
• Work with Technical Authorities and SMEs to ensure compliance with Shell standards.
• Supply technical inputs, risk assessments, ballot reviews and responses to technical queries.
• Support integration between projects and operations for smooth handovers.
• Contribute to GHG forecasting for greenfield projects and abatement discussions.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full‑time basis.
• Valid CREA registration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Process Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in facilities engineering, offshore operations and project execution.
• Proven experience on deepwater offshore projects in Brazil.
