General Manager / CEO – Bakery Ingredients (Brazil)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned General Manager/CEO to lead a food‑technology company that develops, produces, and sells bakery ingredients, notably non‑dairy whipped cream. The role is fully remote but requires residence in or relocation to Brazil and strong local industry relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall strategic direction, operational performance, and financial management to achieve sustainable growth.
• Develop long‑term business plans, annual operating plans, and growth initiatives aligned with commercial objectives.
• Drive sales growth by expanding existing customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and strengthening market position.
• Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with commercial bakeries, industrial food manufacturers, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, product quality, cost competitiveness, inventory optimization, and on‑time delivery.
• Lead new product development in collaboration with technical application, R&D, and commercial teams.
• Establish pricing strategies, commercial policies, and key account plans to maximize profitability.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, raw‑material developments, and consumer trends.
• Ensure compliance with food‑safety regulations, quality standards, and industry certifications.
• Develop and mentor the senior leadership team and foster a high‑performance, customer‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Extensive leadership experience within the bakery ingredients segment.
• Deep understanding of ingredient manufacturing, B2B commercial operations, product development, and the food‑manufacturing value chain.
• Significant commercial management experience in the bakery ingredients sector.
• Fluent in English (professional) and Portuguese.
• Currently residing in Brazil or willing to relocate, with strong local business relationships.
