Gerente de Manutenção – Area Manager, International RME

About the role

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused professional to lead the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team in Brazil. As the Area Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high equipment availability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across our fulfillment network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coach a team of technicians, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
• Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment and that internal processes are followed.
• Collaborate with the wider network to leverage technical expertise and develop solutions.
• Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs.
• Organize training programs to guarantee adequate technical coverage for all shifts.
• Coordinate local projects and assist with Brazil‑level initiatives as assigned.
• Work on shift schedules as needed to stay connected with daily operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical or controls fields.
• Hands‑on experience with automated equipment such as packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.
• Proven track record implementing safety standards.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams.
