Head of Operations

About the role

This senior leadership position will shape and scale the operational foundation of a global, fully remote financial services organization. Based in Brazil, you will oversee critical operational functions, ensuring efficiency, resilience, compliance, and exceptional service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive operations strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
• Lead core operational areas including payments, treasury, reconciliations, card operations, back‑office processes, and business operations.
• Own operational performance by establishing metrics, controls, and improvement initiatives.
• Drive process optimization, automation, and transformation using technology, data, and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Create and implement standardized operating procedures to improve consistency and visibility.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing operations team.
• Partner with compliance, risk, and financial crime teams to meet regulatory requirements.
• Establish operational risk management frameworks, monitoring, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders across technology, data, people, and client‑facing teams.
• Oversee end‑to‑end digital asset settlement operations, including reconciliation, wallet management, custody controls, and crypto‑fiat processes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading operations in banking, fintech, financial services, or wealth management environments.
• Proven ability to scale complex operational functions within regulated financial services.
• Strategic thinker with strong operational excellence, automation, risk management, and people‑leadership capabilities.
• Experience driving operational transformation and implementing governance and regulatory standards.
